From 2003 to 2020, Khurshid Khikmatulayevich Shakirov worked as a researcher at the Department of Adult Orthopedics at NIITO.
The main scientific direction is primary and revision arthroplasty of large joints. At present, he has completed his dissertation work “Repeated surgical interventions after primary hip arthroplasty”.
He completed an internship in hip and knee arthroplasty in the international orthopedic clinic "Asklepiy" in Munich (Germany), in the clinics "Chara Pasha", "Liv Hospital" in Istanbul (Turkey), Clinic "Koksa" in Tampere (Finland) , in the Novosibirsk NIITO, Novosibirsk (Russia), in the RNIIT them. He is a full member of the International Association of Orthopedists of Francophone Countries, the Russian Society [of the Hip Joint].
